Secure Web Interview and Forms Transfer (SWIFT) Quickstart

OPTION #1: AUTOMATICALLY EMAIL YOUR CLIENT AN INPUT FORM:

Right inside the program, you can send your client a private email that asks your client to "CLICK HERE." Your client will receive this email. All your client needs to do is make one mouse click on "CLICK HERE". An encrypted web page will be loaded into your client’s local computer where your client can privately enter information. Your client simply fills in the form and clicks "Submit." The data is immediately encrypted and prepared so you can easily import it into the program. You will be automatically emailed that your client has completed the form. You can quickly retrieve that data right into the data entry screens. (See Retrieving Information from your client below)

When starting a new case: Whenever you begin an new case, you are prompted to send your client an email. If you are connected to the internet, simply indicate you wish to send the email.

Any other time: Just click "Interview" on the main menu and then click "On Internet – How to Get Started." You will see the email message before it is sent to your client. Give it a try.

OPTION #2: Find the input form on the Web

It’s REALLY easy! Have your client enter the following address into any browser connected to the internet: A copy of the web page will be loaded on your client’s local computer where your client can privately enter information. The data is immediately encrypted and you can import it into your Worksheets with a press of a button.

Do I need a Web site to do this?

NO, you do not need a web site to use SWIFT -- just your email address. We have already taken care of the encrypted web site. You can use it anytime.

OPTION #3: Put a LINK to SWIFT on your own website (optional)

If I have a website (even though you don’t need one to use SWIFT), you can always add a link to the SWIFT form. Add the following to your home page.

<A HREF=

http://www.legalplus.com/Forms/LPSGInput.exe?LPSGFILE=wainput.htm&ATTYEMAIL_FF4=****>Client Input Form</A>

(NOTE: Replace ****, with your actual email address)

Example: if your email address is stevelsooter@aol.com use

<A HREF=

http://www.legalplus.com/Forms/LPSGInput.exe?LPSGFILE=wainput.htm&ATTYEMAIL_FF4=stevelsooter@aol.com>Client Input Form</A>

How Secure is SWIFT?

Information is ALWAYS stored in a password protected encrypted format on a protected website designed specifically to allow you and your client to safely exchange data. As a Legal+Plus customer, you have a secure private lock box on this encrypted web site. It is actually much safer to exchange data using SWIFT than email! That’s because with SWIFT, information is ALWAYS encrypted. (Did you know the email you’ve been sending all this time isn’t encrypted?) Using SWIFT is a better way to exchange data.

More on Security: Did you know that when you access any website using a browser, the web page that is displayed is actually a COPY of the real website’s web page. THIS COPY IS ACTUALLY PHYSICALLY PLACED INTO YOUR LOCAL COMPUTER. While entering data on that page, you are simply typing information on the screen of your very own computer. Nothing is "sent" to the internet until you click "submit." Because all forms are copied to the local computer, any keystrokes that your client makes while on the SWIFT form REMAINS ON THE LOCAL COMPUTER until the "Submit" button is pressed. Here’s where SWIFT comes in, as soon as you clicks "Submit", SWIFT immediately encrypts the information. With SWIFT your information is always private and encrypted. It really is more secure than email

Retrieving Information from your Client.

After your client completes the input form, you will automatically receive an email that tells you your client has completed the input form. It is easy to retrieve your client’s information:

Simply run the program the way you normally do..

If you would like to add your client’s data into an already existing case on your computer, load that case now.

Then click on "Interview" and then click on "From Internet -- Retrieve Client Interview Info."

You will see your client’s name on a list. Simply click on that name and the information will be imported into your current case. (To repeat, if you have already started a client case on your computer, load that before importing the internet data. Optionally, you can allow the import function to being a new case.)
